What is monys

Monys is a free tool which

monitors your system with net-snmp
puts the info into rrd bases with rrdtool and perl
graphs the result with php.

The aim: Make monitoring of several hosts easy.
The system monitoring is done in a few steps:
- adapt the snmpd.conf file on each hosts
- adapt a simple monys confile for each host on the monitoring host
- edit the crontab of the monitoring host

What is monysfw

Monysfw is a free tool which generates statistics for firewall logs. It

analyses your firewall logs with modular parsers
inserts the results of the analysis in a mysql database
displays the statistics in html thanks to php.

The aim:Speed, easy configuration, easy stats adaptation.

Several firewall reporting tools already exist but I didn't find what I wanted. Some are not free. Other are not friendly enough in their reports. Or they are not easy to configure. That's why I have decided to write monysfw. However, you are welcome to have a look at other tools I have listed.

What is monysmail

Monysmail generates statistics for postfix + amavis logs.

The aim: Easy configuration, speed, easy code change, get the reporting you need ... It doesn't count a mail twice when postfix is used with amavis. It has many "reporting windows" and it is easy to add one if required.

There are other mail reporting tools from which I got some ideas. Do not hesitate to look at them..
